This is a follow-up blog post for my 365 photo project from 2016. You’ll find the first blog post here.
The stress and tensions and my day job came to an abrupt end as my contract was suddenly terminated by my employer on March 3rd, 2016. Although this came absolutely unexpected, it was a major relief for me as I was therefore able to immediately exit the very stressful and health damaging situation (which wouldn’t have necessarily been the case if I had resigned myself).
This new situation enabled my to have a lot of sleep to recover from very stressful months and to rethink my professional and private situation.
I used the fact that I was able to spend time outdoor to stroll around and look for interesting landscapes and to plan next month’ trip to the West Highland Way (Scotland) with my son.
I started working and experimenting on a lot of different studio shots, be it jewelry
or bottles (no, I didn’t drink anything of this exccellent Grappa)
or experiment with high key
Another new focus and area of experimentation came with architecture where I made some shots with buildings, but then I rapidly focused on black and white architecture photos of bridges.
At the end of March, the day before leaving to Scotland, I had massive stomach problems and I wasn’t even sure if I could make it to Scotland at all. This was the one and only day where I wasn’t able at all to do an elaborate shoot, so I had to cope with what was readily available:
